Trading Pokemon from Sapphire on Ds Lite to 4th gen?

I have Pokemon Sapphire and want to trade them all the way up to White/Black. Sapphire is a GBA game so how would I go about trading them to a 4th generation game? Do I need a link cable like the GBA and GBA SP did or is just not possible to trade?

If so, can you name them and maybe even give the date when its coming out? I’ve never played a Final Fantasy game, so if I get them will I be confused and/or have no idea what to do? I do know some characters, and I’ve played the Kingdom Hearts series
My 3DS came with a 2GB SD card and I use my 3DS for Music, Pictures and Video. but theres hardly any memory. I was wondering if i go buy a normal SD card like maybe a 4 GB one? Will it work inside my 3DS?
